Not all birthdays have to be bad...

I'll admit that the last few birthdays of mine have been less then enjoyable.  But we're not going into that because it's old news...

And I wasn't exactly looking forward to this one.  Esp since it was a big one.  But I was pleasantly suprised.  Started off at the bagel store.  I let them make the first old jokes.  (ok, only Kelly the 25 yr old could...)  They gave me my bagel and coffee for free.  (they are sweet, too bad both are taken).  Then the guys decided to go to Hooters for lunch.  (I didn't mention my...  didn't want to be humiliated at Hooters...  though maybe I could have gotten a hug from our server...  Though our server was fully "qualified" to work there) 

I wasn't sure what was going on or dinner since Katy and family were coming back from Hawaii yesterday.  But they did invite my over.  Even though everyone was jet lagged.  We just ordered pizza, but they got me a cheesecake and Katy and her mother got me gifts in Hawaii.  It was very sweet.  Katy wasn't going to let me have dinner alone on my 30th birthday. 

And I lei'd...  Twice...  But an older woman and a younger woman...  And they were related...  But don't worry, not by Katy's sister...  she'd 16 that would be illegal :)

I didn't spend a whole lot of time there.  Katy needed to get some beauty sleep.  (ok, that's a lie, but she was tired)  Besides she is spending the day with me today.  I don't know what we're doing.  It's a suprise.  But involves heading up towards NYC.  Then we'll have dinner with my parents in north Jersey!  (Mom want's to meet Katy)  It's amusing that she is putting all this effort into my birthday.  It's also something that hasn't been done for a really long time.  Any people wonder why I consider her such a close friend.

Well, time to go...  This should be fun...
